Ok seriously, if you live in Wichita, you've been to a "Taco-someplace"; Taco Tico, Taco Rio, Taco Shop, etc. Now, I'm kinda old school and I love Taco Tico, although yes, I admit, they aren't as good as they used to be. But, Taco Shop will give any place a run for its taco money with its fresh, cheap, delicious fast food Mexican!
They have a lot of the same as the other taco places in Wichita (although I've never seen sanchos or tacoburges outside of Kansas lol)....tacoburgers, sanchos, combo burritos, etc. But they also have fried flour tacos, monterreys and pork burritos.....yum! The monterrey is a like a tostada with a fried flour shell, beans, lettuce, sour cream and pork. Yup. Pork at a fast food Mexican joint. And good tender pork at that....the food really is a step above Taco Bell (and that's hard for me to say as I LOVE me some Taco Bell). If this place were in Texas I would compare it to Taco Cabana....and that's some high praise y'all!
They also have all you can eat tacos on....Mondays? I think it's Mondays. It's been awhile since I have been in Wichita on a Monday but I'm pretty sure that's when it is. Now I don't remember the price, but really, it's not much. Especially if you're like me and can pig out on some tacos....er, I mean enjoy tacos in copious amounts.
The place has always been clean and the staff friendly, plus there is a huge choice of different Mexican items served hot and fresh and for little amounts of money. How could I NOT be a fan? Try it and I bet you will be a fan, too! -

Food was great; we had taco salads, without the shell, and refried beans.
It was difficult to find a clean table, though, but service was good. -

They don't answer their drive thru window and also do not adhere to their hours of operations.

Customer service in this restaurant is lacking at best. I have had mistakes made on my order and then they made me feel like it was my mistake. I come in at lunch probably once a month and there are usually three or four tables that have not been cleaned. One would assume that during their busy time they would want to have tables available. The food is decent at a decent price but that is the only reason to come here. Do not expect much else.

We love these places so much we buy gift cards to give out so our friends and family can eat there, too! The daily specials are affordable, the food is always hot and delicious. You can even order extra lettuce and tomatoes with no extra charge! Even when it's busy, we are in and out at the drive thru or have a spot to sit when dining in. They have an all-you-can-eat tacos on Monday. Get them with either wheat or corn!
